Recommended Treasure Hunting Products
“We’re in a digital world and what I’ve put together is an analog adventure,” John Collins-Black says. “All you need is a book, some water and some shoes.”
From The Secret Treasure Hunt, we learned it’s all about keeping it simple. No technology was used to solve those that were found. This quote from Black makes me believe this one could be the same. He knows we have AI & some people have fancy tools – but they’re not needed!
Plus- he liked Ready Player One and that’s themed around not needing expensive things to find the treasures.
Metal Detector: not yet! My Dad has one we’re going to take with us next hike, or as the kids refer to them “treasure hunts”. But, since it’s not buried, this is really not necessary!
Shovel: nope! Although I don’t think the kids have absorbed this, but, no digging is required to hunt for John Collins Black’s 5 treasure boxes in “There’s Treasure Inside“!
Boroscope: I don’t claim to know the best boroscope for treasure hunting! We did get the kids one for Christmas though and it’s been fun!
AI: I’ve used both ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to analyze parts of the text and to research possibilities. I do think it’s been helpful, but actually getting out there and looking is certainly the only way to win!
I think that John Collins Black (JCB) intends this treasure to be accessible to everyone regardless of income status, or anything else, so I don’t suspect any of these products are needed to hunt for the treasure boxes!
